Faux Metal Trinket Box

SUPPLIES

paper mache box
Perfect Pearls
(patina kit, copper, bronze)
handle die cuts
brads
glue
(Pioneer)
mixing palette
awl or nail
sand paper
brushes

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. Mix Perfect Pearls (pewter) and water in mixing palette to form a creamy paint.

Step 2. Paint the box.

Step 3. While paint is still damp, stipple on other colors of Perfect Pearls (copper, green patina, blue patina, bronze).

Step 4. Stack and glue 2-3 handles together. Sand edges if they are not even.

Step 5. While glue is still drying, wrap the handle on the side of your brush to create the arch of a handle and pinch the sides flat. Let dry until hard.

Step 6. Paint handle with pewter paint and stipple with other Perfect Pearls colors to match your box.

Step 7. Using an awl or nail, punch two small hole in the lid of the box to secure the handle with brads and glue.
